Sing, Act, Dance
Musical theatre combines songs, spoken dialogue, acting, and dance. The story and emotional content of the piece are communicated through the words, music, movement, and technical aspects of the entertainment as an integrated whole. Excelling at all these skills will make your student a triple threat!
At Stageworkz, our number one goal is to get performers on stage! Our Musical Theatre classes and workshops combine the big three: Singing, Acting, and Dancing to create great storytelling opportunities and develop fantastic performance skills.
While we offer specific musical theatre classes that combine singing, acting, and dancing, we also encourage our students to take classes in various forms of dance, as well as voice and acting lessons to nurture the whole performer. Students from beginner to advanced are challenged at their level to grow in every aspect of this onstage art form.

Join us for our 10-week Ukulele Workshop this fall! This is a 10-week workshop for ages 5-10. Class meets on Tuesdays at 5pm from September 26 - December 19 (no class on 10/31, 11/7, 11/21). This workshop is perfect for musical kids who love to sing and would love to learn how to strum and sing their favorite songs. Ukulele is the perfect instrument for the young budding song-writer as well. Students in this workshop will learn basic ukulele technique, the basics of harmony and playing a polyphonic instrument, and will move through the leveled curriculum designed to build on each new skill that is learned. Students will not only improve their skills from the beginning to the end of the workshop but will be given the tools and motivation they need to continue improving even after the workshop is over.
Students will be provided with a detailed lesson book designed by their instructor so they can practice what they've learned in class on their own and after the workshop is over. Students will need to purchase their own ukulele for the class. (The teacher recommended ukulele is the makala shark or dolphin model in any color, which can be purchased for around $60. If you already own a ukelele and have questions about if it will work for class, please don't hesitate to reach out!)
